From the electrical system to the hydraulics, your scrap equipment needs to have the best parts to deliver the best performance. We’ve heard from our customers that many scrap operations trust the John Deere brand of engines more than any other, so we’re reintroducing optional John Deere technology in our equipment.
Here’s what to know as a new or returning Aljon customer.
John Deere Engine Option Returns to Aljon’s Scrap Equipment Lineup
For almost 200 years now, John Deere has been one of the most trusted names in heavy equipment. It ranks among the top 100 U.S. companies, and the Smithsonian credits it with “changing American history.” We are proud to again have John Deere engines as an option in our scrap equipment beginning in 2026.
It’s been almost a decade since the last time John Deere engines were available here at Aljon. John Deere will be available for our 580CL and 400XL models. These engines will not replace our standard Volvo Penta, but will be another option for customers to choose from. That enables you to choose the best one for you.
You can decide on the pricing tier and serviceability options best for your operation.
What Can You Expect from John Deere Engines at Aljon?
- RELIABILITY: John Deere’s industrial engines are chosen by enterprises around the world for their high responsive power, fluid efficiency, and day-to-day reliability.
- REDUCED EMISSIONS: The integrated DOC/DPF/SCR system helps you to further improve your fluid economy, enhance performance, and dramatically reduce emissions.
- EXCEPTIONAL POWER: These engines deliver excellent power, torque, and fuel economy. They also incorporate John Deere’s patented PowerTech Plus™ technology, with variable geometry turbocharging. That boosts your combustion efficiency for even better performance.
The John Deere PowerTech Plus™ 6.8L industrial diesel engine is among the best on the market today. With six cylinders, this in-line, 4-stroke engine provides superior airflow through its turbocharged, air-to-air aftercooled aspiration system. It also comes with an EPA Final Tier 4/EU Stage V certification.
